About me

Started writing this blog on advice from my mentor Mr. Subhajith Mandal(Mondy), He is a guy who taught me how to cook my own meals. Mondy I adore you a lot you, thanks for your guidance.

Two good things I learnt from Mondy about life and suggest others to learn as well:

1. Never hesitate to share your knowledge with others.

2. Never expect anything in return for helping others.

A short story about my interest towards stock-market.

I am a sort of person who never paused to learn new things in life. Personally inspired by warren buffet principles in spirit as well as investing.

A funny meme out there in FB "only after joining engineering college, Indian students get to know their true interest of life" I’m not an exception in this instance; it took place in my spirit as comfortably.

So here it starts, In Dec-2007 I was suppose to attend a karate tournament in New Delhi, where my uncle lives for over 25 years, He (uncle) was a newbie trader then, trading his personal account for not more than two months generating huge trading income for one of the famous brokerage houses in Delhi by day trading. I think of his candy words;), He told

if at all, "I would have been started trading five years back, I could have become a Millionaire by now"; He said this with huge confidence brimming all over his face. I felt great and proud about my mama at that moment. But you know what happened after that Jan15th- 2008; Beginning of 2008 financial crisis company fallen one by one like a pack of cards.

Nearly 90% of investor out there in the market lost their capital. My uncle was also in that herd.

Okay, getting back about me; So one day while staying with him, as a curious teen, I was pondering over his trading screen and shooting rapid fire questions to him about the stock market; and I really need to credit my uncle on this aspect, he taught me so well as I believed the stock - market was like a video game and learnt the basics quickly, he was a good teacher indeed.

Let me tell you the stock-market fundas which I learned at that moment,

Funda: "Buy Low, Sell High", sounds simple right.

On my very second day of learning, I started executing few trade strategies of my uncle and where I made more than 650rupees in a matter of 30mins, Unforgettable!

Since then out of my self interest or due to the tempting feeling, which I felt after glancing over the cover meme of a famous personality's biography while standing near a railway station book stall.

Cover meme: "A man who converted 100 rupees into 100 crores"

Can you guess who it was that man??. It's none other than legendary investor, philosopher Mr. Warren Edward buffet.

I can't believe my eyes what I read it at that moment, out of much curiosity, I had just brought my first book of life for 100Rs/- which was given by my granny as a new year gift. Did read that biography in just 2days(hungry to turn my 100Rs to 10000Rs). Since then I have begun investing in the stock market from Jan-2008 by saving my monthly pocket money.

During my engineering days I would have read more books related to stock-market and biographies than my engineering books. And days went off almost 6 years vanished quickly.

In this journey learnt many things on stock-market and its conduct and also ran across many like minded masses. And I can't say I have hit the home run yet or I have seen runaway success, neither by investing nor trading in the stock market. Its an usual story boss as a common human race out there in dalal street, I have experienced many ups and downs in livestock market.

Moreover I am really happy about what am doing in life and satisfied about my consistent returns for past 15 months, hope it continues forever :).
